UNC of NEPA offers Adult English Classes at John Adams

John Adams will host the United Neighborhood Center's Adult English Program. The program is an amazing opportunity for parents of John Adams students. Childcare is provided for parents who enroll n the program.

The program will begin Monday, September 17, 2018 at 2:30pm. It will run from Mondays through Thursdays. The program has limited space. Please contact Contact Daysi at 570.346.6203 ext. 102 to register.

SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIR (9/18 thru 9/21)

The Scholastic Book Fair returns to John Adams Elementary after many years. Student will have the opportunity to shop during the day with their homeroom teachers. Each class has an assigned time. Please see the attached schedule for more information.

The Scholastic Book Fair will also be open during our Back to School Night on Thursday, September 20th. More information to follow.

Adams Parent and Family Right to Know Letter 9/10/18

Attached you will find the Adams Elementary Parent Right to Know letter.


This letter informs parents of their rights to school and teacher information for Admas under the Elementary and Secondary Assistance (ESEA) and Every Student Succeeds Act. Paper copies were sent home on 9/10/18. Thank you.

ELD Parent and Family Informational Night

The regional ELD Parent and Family Informational Night will be held on Thursday, September 26, 2018 @ 6:30pm at Northeast Intermediate School. Parents and families please come and join us in the auditorium at NSIS. We hope to see you there!

Back To School Fair

John Adams Elementary will be hosting its 1st annual Back to School Fair. This event will take place Tuesday, August 29th form 5-7pm on the playground of John Adams. Please join us for this fun filled family event. It is a great way to kick off the new school year. Various community agencies will be participating as well as our business partner Scranton Running Co. Food, raffle baskets, giveaways, and live music will also be part of the back to school celebration. We hope to see you there!

Children's Produce Market

Scranton School District students volunteered to assist with food distribution at the monthly Children's Produce Market.
