UNC of NEPA offers Adult English Classes at John Adams

John Adams will host the United Neighborhood Center's Adult English Program. The program is an amazing opportunity for parents of John Adams students. Childcare is provided for parents who enroll n the program.

The program will begin Monday, September 11th at 2:30pm. It will run from Mondays through Thursdays. The program has limited space. Please contact Contact Daysi at 570.346.6203 ext. 102 to register.

Back To School Fair

John Adams Elementary will be hosting its 1st annual Back to School Fair. This event will take place Tuesday, August 29th form 5-7pm on the playground of John Adams. Please join us for this fun filled family event. It is a great way to kick off the new school year. Various community agencies will be participating as well as our business partner Scranton Running Co. Food, raffle baskets, giveaways, and live music will also be part of the back to school celebration. We hope to see you there!

Children's Produce Market

Scranton School District students volunteered to assist with food distribution at the monthly Children's Produce Market. Lackawanna College Baseball Team Visits Adams

Some really wonderful students from Lackawanna College's baseball team stopped by John Adams and read to several classes. Our students also heard about the importance of education and even got a few autographs from the players!

Adams Hosts "Pictures with Santa"

Santa Claus made at visit to John Adams Elementary on Friday, December 2. Mr. Emiliani and the Bulldog community created a festive environment for the school family. Students and their families enjoyed activities such as arts and crafts, basket raffles, cookies, hot chocolate, and of course pictures with Santa. All of which was made possible through the generosity of the faculty and staff, PTA, volunteers from SHS Penn Serve Club, Aramark, and everyone who donated items for the event.

It was a fantastic John Adams community event, and fun was had by all!

John Adams' First Annual "Harvest Feast" Serves Over 200 Guests

Over 200 people in the Adams community recently enjoyed a turkey dinner, made possible through the generosity of an anonymous donor. Students from Scranton High and Northeast Intermediate served the meals to guests.

Adams Delivers Harvest Feast Leftovers to St. Francis of Assisi Kitchen

John Adams Elementary had several pans of leftover food from their first annual "Harvest Feast" which fed over 200 people. Principal Mario Emiliani decided to keep spreading the holiday cheer by donating the leftovers to the St. Francis of Assisi soup kitchen. The chef was very grateful for the thoughtful gesture!
